A Howard County Institution is Closing
The Sunny's Surplus on Rt. 40 is having their going out of business sale. I have many fond memories of going in there to pick up camping gear. It is sad to see them close.

Just for the record, it hasn't been Sunny's Surplus in years. At some point, probably when the surplus was depleted, they changed to Sunny's Outdoor Store. At that point, their merchandise selection and quality took a dive.
My favorite part of sunny's was the yellow missile thing out front, but that went the way of the Surplus too, I suppose.
I may stop in Sunny's tomorrow just to say good-by.
Can I go way back and ask if anyone remembers Champs, The Varsity, or the Dairy Ranch.
