Making Robo Calls Illegal
Incoming Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says that one of the first ten bills he wants the new Senate to pass is a bill making the annoying election RoboCalls illegal. I think that is a great way to start the next session of Congress! :)

One reason I am glad I have a cell phone and no landline...no "robocalls". I can safely say I did not receive a single "robocall" this political year.
Oh come on now...
How about a little sense of humor here. I enjoyed telling my fiance that Sheryl Crow left a message on the answering machine!
Good policy. Good Politics.
I too enjoyed getting a call from Sheryl Crow. How about an exemption for Sheryl?
i enjoy them too but the majority of voters hated getting those calls. my favorite was ehrlich actually saying my first name..
I didn't get a phone call from Sheryl Crow OR Michael Steele.
I'm ticked. I'll get a landline before the next election.
Wonderful. Go for it.
If I got any robocalls on my unpublished number, they didn't leave a message.
I expect there will be a free speech problem with totally eliminating such calls, but they might be able to enact something that effectively eliminates them by prohibiting them to anyone on a list who says in advance that they don't want to get them. That seems reasonable enough.
