The candidates for Legislative District 12A

Legislative District 12A is mainly in southwest Baltimore County, but it extends into (mainly) Elkridge and Ilchester in Howard County.

Past voting results point to Democratic Delegate Jim Malone, who is running for his fourth term and is currently vice-chair of the Environmental Matters Committee, winning one of the two delegate seats in LD12A. The probability is that it'll be either the one term incumbent Steve DeBoy or Republican challenger Joe Hooe, who ran four years ago and came close, who wins the second one. The other Republican, Albert Nalley, is making his first run for this office and should have more of a name recognition problem than the others. Here are the websites of the four candidates.

Delegates Malone and DeBoy also have voting records, with which I am somewhat familiar and by which they can be judged. Much of the information about those records can be found at the state legislature's website: www.mlis.state.md.us
