Bagel Bin Listening Session
I haven't posted since shortly after I started serving on the Columbia Council, but I wanted to draw people's attention to the Columbia Council testimony on the Downtown Zoning Amendment (ZRA 113) and particularly the detailed response the Columbia Council will be providing on each of the County's Department of Planning and Zoning's recommendations on the Zoning Amendment.
I also want to invite anyone who is interested to stop by my monthly Bagel Bin Listening Session that will be tomorrow (Saturday, February 7th) from 11am to 1pm at the Bagel Bin in Kings Contrivance village center.

Good to see you back!
I thought you would never post again... Good to see you back.
On a separate note... and this comment of mine has been pending for a while....it's about the conforming limits for 2009.
Both Montgomery County & PG county that border us from two sides have a much higher conforming limit of $625K for 2009, while we are stuck with $495K even though housing cost & taxes are comparable to Montgomery county (and in many cases higher than parts of PG county).
Later HUD released an updated statement adding two more counties to the high cost list (Blaine County in Idaho, and Kalawao in Hawaii). Blaine was added due to an ammendment in the median price (due to an appeal) but Kalawao got $626K due to the higher priced adjacent county!
If this is important to other Howard County residents who have higher mortgages and would likely benefit from a higher conforming limit (as was temporarily in the second half of 2008) & lower interest rates, can we all speak up and raise this as an action item?
Thanks.
