So I was out late Tango dancing so I didn't have a chance to write up a detailed post, but here is an open thread to keep you busy. Need a topic to jumpstart the discussion: What is your favorite park in Howard County and why is it your favorite?

Rather than talking about favorite parks, I'd rather talk about the park we don't have yet: Blandair.
There was an epic battle with the heirs, and promises of wonderful facilities, but so far nothing. No construction, no announcements (that I've seen), not even a sign.
Has Ehrlich been sitting on state money? Has the County Council decided not to fund the park?
When plans for the park were first announced, I was looking forward to my kids using it. Now it looks like they'll be in college before we ever see it.
Yeah, I try to take on to much and end up not getting much sleep.
I don't know the schedule for Blandair. I will ask around, but if someone else knows they should feel free to post the details here.
The timeline stated at the public meetings a few years ago was 10-15 years for completion, with commencement occurring sooner.

I think the hold up now are the folks who don't want any place where kids can play structured sports or where the school can practice sports.

Is there an up-to-date copy of the current Park plan posted online? If not, why not?
Is it true that if Calvin Ball has his way I won't be able to bring my machete into the house after dark? Call a spade a spade or perhaps a shovel and get tough with sentencing not restricting or micro-managing the citizens of Howard County.
