Peter Beilenson, District 3 Congressional candidate is having a Town Hall meeting, Tuesday, May 9th at 7pm at the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center. Medicare/Rx discussion. Peter Beilenson is the former Health Commissioner for Baltimore City and one of the leading candidates for the congressional seat Ben Cardin is vacating to run for the US Senate.

I wish I could go -- I've really liked everything I've heard/seen from Dr. Beilenson, and think he would be a terrific Congressman. If elected, he will be the ONLY member of Congress with expertise and experience in Public Health -- with the current threats of bioterrorism, avian flu, etc., we need someone like him more than ever!
I'm sure he'll have some interesting thoughts and insight on the Medicare Part D issue tonight. Unfortunately, I have a conflict, but I hope to read a "recap" of the event here later this week!
I too think Dr. Beilenson will be a great addition to congress. I was not able to make it to the Town Hall, but I would love to hear what the people who were there thought.
