Does any one know the percentage of commercial to residual property use in Howard County.

I heard that 35% (commercial), 65% (residual), would have a very positive impact on the property taxes we would pay.

And why bother with punctuation either, Jim? I mean, typically a question ends with a question mark. But, heck, what's a punctuation mark here or there? Odd, isn't it, that you seek clarity on a subject yet find someone attempting to clarify your question to be picky?

Residual is probably not a bad choice of words. Is open space considered residential or commercial? What about farmland?

I had been moving investments around that day and had financial terms on my mind, but that is no execuse.
You got to take the licks and kicks so you can stay humble.
Your point about farmland is excellant. At some future point I want to bring up questions as a way to inform and focus on the next 5 to 10 years of Howard County's growth. That was the orginal intent of this question.

I was not being critical in asking about "residential" versus "residual". I was just trying to be certain what you were asking about. For all I know there could be some real estate term "residual property" that I've never heard before.

I agree, Jim. At first, I thought "he meant residential" but I too, think that framing the conversation on only residential vs. commercial excludes other designations.
