From left to right: Barbara Seely (Village Board Chair), Jen Terrasa (County Council), Guy Guzzone (House of Delegates), and Ken Ulman (County Executive).I know all of these elected officials have worked very hard to get the new grocery store in as soon as possible. As a Kings Contrivance resident I want to thank all of them for their hard work and persistence.
Does anyone else see a potential safety issue above?
ReplyDeleteGood work, all, but please be careful when doing commissioning photos.
Oh my goodness! Anonymous has a point - Who on earth let this photo be taken like this? If that is not a OSHA safety violation, it darn well should be!
ReplyDeleteSafety violations aside, it would seem to me to be common sense not to stand under a demolition equipment, especially when it is poised directly next to what are now loose materials on the building. Hard hats are nice, but they will only do so much to protect you from falling bricks and roof debris.
Why are they wearing shirts?
ReplyDeleteIf there is a safety violation, which I seriously doubt, it is the fault of the construction company. They are in charge of the jobsite.

ReplyDeleteWell played, sir.
Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't they be wearing shirts?

The reasons are twofold.
ReplyDelete1. Because they look like they are going dancing at Chippendales
2. I never wore a shirt for my brief career in the construction biz.
