I <3 splashdown in the winter. I do not love the Columbia Swim Center, however, for it lacks a hot tub, has one of the rudest staffs of any CA facility, is seriously filthy.
Splashdown is great for kids. A super place for parties - especially for children with winter birthdays who wish they could have a pool party. Another wonderful thing about splashdown is the water temp. Many, many children and elderly are reluctant to swim and/or take lessons in other CA pools because they are just too cold. Splashdown keeps their temp warm enough that even my very slim son will jump in for lessons.
