County Council District 5 Race - Voters Need Answers From Fox

Mr. Fox needs to provide clear answers (no spin) to four important questions so voters can accurately choose their representative on the County Council in District 5.

1. Was he recruited by Allan Kittleman to become a candidate for the District 5 County Council Seat? Did Allan Kittleman contribute $4000 (the legal limit) to his campaign? Did those funds come from Allan Kittleman's Campaign fund? Did Allan Kittleman interfere with the Primary Election process? (See Jann Anderson's letter to the Editor in the Howard County Times.)

2. Fox's website lists his employment history as 20 years of employment in "two Fortune 200 companies". Why doesn't he say that he is currently employed by Constellation Energy, the parent company of BG&E? Ethically, he would have to recluse himself from any issue involving "power" in the County Council. If elected, will he represent the public's interest or do the bidding of his party boss (Kittleman) and/or Big Business?

3. Was Fox involved with Allan Kittleman to commission a push poll (at the cost of $10,000) to discredit his opponent in the Primary Campaign (fellow Republican Wayne Livesay)? What questions were asked? Was the poll designed to create negative images of Liveasy in the minds of voters? (See Byron Macfarlane's letter to the editor in the Howard County Times.)

4. On his website, Fox cites as Community Experience, "Neighborhood Leader representing community views on school redistricting efforts." In reality, he promoted what was locally referred to as "the Greyhound Plan" to shape the attendance area for Reservoir High School. Originally, his group advocated the "Gray Plan" which would restrict attendance to the areas immediately surrounding the new high school in Fox's neighborhood. When numbers required expanding the area, his group canvassed nearby middle class neighborhoods for their support of (and inclusion in) his plan while arguing that students from North Laurel (including student from public housing) would be bused to more distant schools "because they were on the bus anyway". Hence, his plan was dubbed "the Greyhound Plan". How does Fox's actually efforts in school redistricting make him a "neighborhood leader representing community views? Which community is he representing? Is this the kind of political leader who will represent all of his constituents or just the "fortunate few"?

Mr. Fox voters need answers to these questions.

1. Greg declared he would run over 4 years ago. So what if he was recruited by Kittleman. A lot of candidates are recruited by someone. Kittleman can contribute what he wants as long as it meets the legal test. People give money to candidates and trust them to spend it as they see fit, unless they give it for a specific purpose.

2. No secret there. http://hocomd.wordpress.com/2006/08/09/greg-fox-qualifications/

I am sure he would recuse himself in the 1 in every 100 years it comes up. What is your point?

3. This has been hashed over again and again. http://hocomd.wordpress.com/2006/09/06/you-think-the-district-5-race-is-tough/ The only push poll going on now is Ulman's - that is a true push poll.

4. Email him.

Ill add to #1 about the money from Kittleman because there seems to be some hypocrisy here on the part of demos. Jen Terrasa received money from Liz Bobo and Tom Perez's campaigns. Does she have to answer for those contributions? If not, why not?

I'm sure I could find other Democrats who get money from other campaigns, but she was the first I looked at.

I think every Democrat in Howard County is running because of huge infusions of case from Big Labor - if it wasn't for Labor money Ball and Terrasa would be sitting with empty campaign accounts. And lets not forget Robey who had nothing starting out after carpet bagging to 13 - Guy Guzzone gave him a huge case infusion -- Talk about living in glass houses - you really need to think before you take swipes like this!

Fox is Kittleman's puppet. It really tells you something when Charlie Feaga has two yard signs out for Don Dunn. That speaks VOLUMES. Feaga is a statesman. Kittleman and Fox have no respect for anyone who has different opinons then them - particularly in their own party. All they do is divide and divide and divide. They deserve what they get.

Terrasa had 238 contributers and Ball had 365 contributors (many under $100)--much more than the GOP opponents.

How does that mean big labor is paying for thier campaigns?

No love between the Feaga's and the Kittleman's. Has nothing to do with Don Dunn. Don Dunn could have been Hilary Clinton.

There's no love between Allan Kittleman and his wife and a lot of people. Don't dare to disagree or stand in their way. Bob Kittleman was so much more of a leader and a kind person then is his son.

Charlie Feaga allowed Don Dunn signs because of Don Dunn, it had nothing to do with Kittleman. It sounds as though David Keelan is being defensive. Could it be that he knows Kittleman has made too many promises, and keep too few, for the farmers in Western Howard Co?

Kittleman wants a straight line of power, top to bottom, and David Keelan knows this is the reason Greg Fox was recuited, and other peoples money came in very handy to create this power structure.

Greg Fox's poll was a push poll. Read David Keelan's site. He defines push poll. A poll meant to change public opinion, and this type of poll, which was in part financed by Kittleman, is unethical.

Lets keep an eye on Fox's voting patterns when it comes to energy issues, for those informed, they may not be much of a shock.

David Keelan has been spinning Fox, Kittleman and the rest of the gang so much, it's hard to tell if he is drunk or dizzy.

Love you to David.

Eddie,

I will keep it kind and short. It is hardly worth replying to someone who wants to attack me. But here goes.

I don't think you ever met Allan Kittleman. If you had then you wouldn't say those things.

Keelan hardly finds it worth replying to someone who is attacking him?

Did anyone catch Keelan's "Ulman hasn't responded to my baseless attacks, so they must be true" campaign?

Demos,

You are nothing but a hypocrit, just like the otehr liberal blogger Hayduke. It's fine if you want to ask legitimate questions of a republican candidate, but they same questions should be asked of the democratic candidates. So typical for liberal and dumocrats to hold everyone else to a different standard than themselves.

No sense "dialoging" with a bunch of ostriches.
